Trailer question

I am having some wear issues on my trailer. Anyone use anything besides carpet on their bunks or what do you do?

chief go see ben at clark springs he is doing a complete overhaul (stripped everything off the frame) on my trailer which will be a post when he is finished. He is doing the boards with something on top of the carpet which will prevent the wear of the carpet and he said will make the boat launch easier. I think he said teflon pads and the screws will be counter sunk. Don't quote me on it being teflon.

I have some edging we use in out landscapes. Its 1/2 thick x 4". comes in 20' strips. I been using it on boat trailers now for a couple of years. Works great. Its made from recycled plastics. Lot cheaper too than the boat trailer slicks.

How do you attach the recycled plastic to the boards?

Glide stix online sells the teflon trailer bunks that work real well.Make sure your bow rope is attached while launching and picking up boat or it will be sitting on the dock
