BigGrin Toledo Scouting Trip 8/30

Headed out to Toledo Friday for a little fishing and relaxation with the family... knew my nephew was heading up for the weekend so I wanted to put him on some fish. Launched solo around 6pm and found em biting on my first stop. Bass was on the agenda but found a nice little surprise i thought my nephew would like the next day. Talk about fun the way them stripers slam a crankbait. Prolly released 10 barfish... the one I kept were not gonna make it. So we fried em up. 15-20ft of water texas side. midlake. Not too bad for an hour of fishing.

Nice report. I didn't have a lot of luck around San Miguel. Best day was around 19 bass, but only a couple that would've kept. Caught a nice goo on a slab spoon on the reefs near north toledo state park. Thought it was a stud white perch while i was fighting it!
