Default Vudu 03-13-13

Made a quick trip with Ken this morning out to BL and found some trout on all the stops we made. We each started with a different color Vudu Shrimp and rigged different ways (with and without a cork) and found fish both ways. We moved to another spot and changed colors and found fish. Caught about 20 to 25 trout and all were tagged and released to fight another day. Don’t have an accurate count cause I didn’t count my tag cards yet. All trout tagged were 14 to 16 inches and just right for the hot oil. These are the colors we were using Vudu Gold, Pink, Magic and Pearl. We were going to use some more but called it a day.
We got on the water by 7:30 and were off the water by 11:00. The water was looking good and had a slight stain to it, had a very lit wind blowing and the water temp was running from 59 degrees to 61 degrees. We did all fishing around Commissary Point and out towards the middle of the lake towards Fin Fish.

That bait just looks so natural swimming in the water... It really is incredible

Nice catch guys! Thanks for the report.

What type of rod/reel you're using to throw such a light bait without a cork? Heck, i tried w/ a weightless cork and vudu shrimp and struggled to get distance along with back lash.

Spinning reels would be my guess.

I like them, they or very smooth casting and get the job done with very little maintenance and I have had zero problems with the ones I have. Been having one for about three years now and no issues.

Thanks for the info on tackle. I use the Lew's bait caster on a ML deuce rod. I'm not a fan of spinning reels; guess I'll have to switch to fish these baits properly.
What is the weight used on the Vudu?
