Default Argentina

Went to Argentina for the first time. Had a wonderful trip. Went to Los Ombues lodge and hunted ducks, dove and perdiz. We also shot some parakeet. Attached are some pictures.

Looks like a good time! Now the hard part will be coming back reality this duck season.

Made a trip to Uruguay a few years back. Missed the duck season, but the doves, piegeon and perdiz hunting was awesome. I think I enjoyed the perdiz the most.
We would go in the mornings and hunt them with pointers. Normally didn't take long to get a 10 bird limit then hang out at lodge until time to slaughter the doves in the afternoon.

Trip looks awesome, but dumb question here-what is a perdiz? never heard of that..

Perdiz is Spanish for partridge. Not sure which species though.

Perdiz is similar to a partridge. Hunt them with pointers.

Nice. My uncle just left yesterday for a duck hunt in Argentina. Bucket list for me for sure. Been to Mexico a few times but I want to shoot ducks I've never killed before.

Lol. We have to use a one or one and a half inch shooting pad. Can't even feel it.
I will start to train shortly. You mainly get tired from picking up the gun so many times.

My shoulder could handle it with a gel pad.

It was my fingers that got wore out even using shooting gloves.
It hurt to load the shells. I started dropping 1 straight ink the chamber then aiming for doubles. Was better than pushing those two extra shells in.
