Default Duck Hunting Jacket

Looking at getting a new jacket/coat for the upcoming season. I was looking at one of Redhead's Wading jackets, mainly because I could use the one jacket from September teal season all the way to the end of the regular season. I like that you can pull the different layers out depending on the weather.

I've also looked at the drake jackets, but I'm not sure what works best down here. Seems the MST would be alittle warm for early season around here, especially considering they describe it as being comfortable between 20 and 45 degrees. Hell, we don't usually get weather like that until December and January in a normal year.

Do the redhead's not have a warranty? I looked at one on cabelas website and didn't see anything about a warranty.

That is what I wear. I do not think they make them anymore. I bought 2 shadow grass ones at G & H in Gueydon about 6 years ago.

when you say replace, do you mean a brand new jacket or repaired your old..

what if they dont make your jacket anymore..

i have an old columbia that is about 15 years old and i swear the jacket grew with me... it is the only thing of my hunting gear that i have had that long..
the only thing that is wrong was the zipper fell off track this year...

I just looked at Columbia's website and I didn't really see anything even remotely similar to the Redhead Canvasback 4 in 1 I looked at at Bass Pro. And the one I did see was $300. Guess that lifetime warranty is more than paid for.

I'd go with the warranty. I've had an Under Armour 3/4 zip for 4 seasons now and love it. Very light weight but as warm as u need if you layer under it. Only the top half is water RESISTANT though. No warranty either

Haven't had any issues in my drake LST 4 in 1. Definitely get a jacket with multiple layers that can be taken off for warmer weather

Best jacket every made - Beretta Waterfowl Parka from Orvis. Orvis has lifetime 100% guaranty. It does cost $300, but you will not find a better jacket. I have 3 - one for me and one for each of my adult sons. Waterproof (great for Tiger stadium and wet duck blinds), wind proof, warm, etc. I use it in all weather.

That's not too hot? Seems like the LST would be really heavy down here and alittle too warm. Isn't the MST rated from like 20 to 45 degrees. It doesn't get much colder than that very often.
