Default Math geek this is how to surf fish.

I saw this on facebook and remembered Mathgeek was trying to figure out how to make long casts. Well here is a way that you can scout the surf and pick what fish at the same time.

I really like the drone idea for running out baits. It's much lighter and easier to get to the beach than the bait cannon, and also legal in more places. It also has the advantage that you can carry out crab and don't have to freeze mullet into ice bullets ahead of time.

We eventually decided that for targeting redfish at our preferred beaches (Holly, Rutherford, GI, Elmer's) wading and casting give enough distance and are so much faster and simpler than all the technological enhancements that we are satisfied. I don't think anyone in our family was eager to see an expensive drone crash into the Gulf.

If the water were clear enough for aerial scouting or we needed to get further out, I think the drone idea would be more popular with my family. Perhaps when we get bored with redfish and want to get further out for sharks without having to kayak the baits out.
