Anything special I need to do to fish with my boat in LA water. It's registered in Tx. I know I have to purchase a LA fishing license.

Thanks in advance.

I've been doing it for 3 years and hope there is nothing that needs to be done. I actually store my boat in La, but it has to be registered in Texas. Don't follow my advice because i could be doing it wrong.

I am sure that if you put a boat in La waters you have to abide by the La Dept of Wildlife and Fisheries rules. Just make sure you have the required safety equipment and you should be ok.

Make sure you specify hip boot waders or actual chest waders..........Cause there is a difference.

im pretty sure all that is required is that the boat "be" registered and its valid.

I don't think they require you register it here unless you live here

If you think the license for wading was a joke you are seriously mistaken. They sell them at Academy. Just go ask the customer service desk people.

I've fished in a bunch of different states. It's all good if your boat has a current registration in your home state or the state where the boat spends the most time.

Thanks for all the input guys.. I was told that at one time the wading permits were required but aren't now. If anyone knows differently just post it up.
