Trolling motor problems

Mine was doing the same thing. Dhp changed the barrings and the brushes. Now I need to change by batteries as the last time I went out it did not stay charged. I have been fighting this trolling motor for a month. I have a rip tide 80lb. My parts were covered but not labor. I think lake Charles tackle is the motorguide reps.

start simple, you may be getting full voltage on the meter but not full current
check and clean those connections, load test the battery |

He told me to remove the plugs..... and just "hard" wire it. No more problems. I found that there was a second "plug-in" under the front deck, so I remove it also. |

Di electric grease works good around plugs and any other exposed electrical connections
