Waiting on biologist to tell us whether it was a 2.5 or 3.5 yo buck. I think 3.5 but he will confirm next week when he gets the teeth.

Nice deer. Be surprised how often that happens. We rescued a doe one day at our lease caught in the fence. She bout ripped us to shreads before we could get her out though. Fine lookin ranch you got. Where y'all hunting?

Latt..... with those temperatures, the meat should have still been good, if the Buck had been shot.
But ..... not sure how the meat would be effected after the Buck struggled to get free and then sat out for many hours. The Buck could have been alive for much of that time before you found him. |
