Default 11-23-16 solid trout

Woke up at 445 am and put weather on. It did not look good. Windy and storm coming. Asked my girlfriend if she Wanted to go fishing and she thought I was nuts. Kplc kept saying weather would hit around 7-8 while others were showing noon. All said would blow by fast. 545 am off I went to gas boat and head to launch. She wanted me to wait til storm past so she could go and I said its been two weeks or so since I been out and can't wait any longer and not sure how long storm will be or wat its gonna be like after. Was at the first spot for 645. Fishing north east corner with that south wind made for a rough morning. Around 930 had to run for cover with storm on top of me. Had some decent trout but still not the ones normally catch this time of year. Around 1130 it was clear skies on west side as I'm lookin from east side so I called my girlfriend J. I said weather is almost past do u want to come meet me. She was ready now lol. So I said meet me out on Kent's dock and I'll pick u up there. 1230 we were fishing again and it did not take long before we were both hooked up with 3 pound trout and just after I flipped mine in boat I grabbed net to get hers and it popped line right at the hook just as I netted fish. Her little zebco wasn't gonna cut it with fish like this so I grabbed the easiest casting bait cast I had and helped her catch several more just like it. Need less to say she wants nothing to do with that zebco anymore, lol. Luckily it went flat cause no way she could of casted in that wind this am. Some I casted for her as it was but she did good and had the best fishing trip of her life. Now she hasn't fished but a dozen or so times anyway. It was fun just watching her have so much fun. Wasnt much tide after storm so the bite wasn't real fast but when u did get one it was a good one. Not one pickle, throw back, trout caught today. That may be first this year. Can't really tell in the pictures but a dozen of em out of our limit were 3 pound fish. Can't wait to get back out there! Hopefully Friday. Awesome awesome fishing! O one more thing I fully expected the lake to be dirty with all the high winds lately but it was really clear. I don't know if I ever saw it this clear.

No sir ! ... Last year was the last time I threw for em there and landed a condom in my cast net. Ended that ! LOL ! Since then artificial lures are mostly what I use now. No joke ! Unless the kids or fiancee are fishing with me. At that point buying shrimp is a lot easier than throwing that ole net.
