lake cataouatche, right now fish around the Island early in the a.m., then start fishing the grass beds in the middle of the lake and in different areas, tank ponds are good in the spring but may be too shallow during the summer, I rather fish the grass beds and around the lillies which there is plenty there! I like the bayou segnette landing more than pier 90. never fished in lafite. I fish the Pearl river a lot!

oh and the bad thing about catouache is that there really isn't any secret spots out there because you will see where everyone is fishing and there will be boats were the fish are, I fished the island one a.m. with 6 other boats, I fished it fast, waking a spinnerbait caught more and covered more area, which you can do when the water is higher, if its low, punch a beaver threw the grass because the grass will be matted on the surface of the water and its the only thing you can throw other than a frog which is a great a.m. bait in the summer! Hope this helps!

yes one side is catouache and the other side is salvador, and you can catch reds around there too. I usually see more reds on the salvador side. and I think its called timken wma.

If your looking for reds in laffite hit the shoreline of little lake, bay l'ours or brusle lake. Throw a marshworks 1/2 oz gold spoon or a marshworks bayou thumper spinnerbait in the voodoo brew color. You could also try a marshworks ripple shad jerk bait in glow or advocado glow
