Default Great day in Leeville 8-9-15

Made a trip with my wife this morning. Hit the Calumet Islands and Bird island. Finished up at Timbiler. Nice size fish had to pick at them all day. Ended up with two limits and a good sunburn. Only two trucks at the launch. Didn't see many people on the water. Terry didn't have any live bait and the water is hot as heck. I think we would gave caught our fish faster if we woulda had live bait. Heading to work this week so I won't get to fish again for a while. Overall this was one of the toughest summers I've had in a long while. I hope next year is better.

Yes. We passed by. A West wind was blowing pretty good so I hit the East side get out of it. Pelican island is nearly gone seems like the birds have moved to Cas Tete and it smells wonderful. Once the wind died down around 1100 we went outside to Timbiler. Yesterday was basically a island hopping tour to keep out of the wind. We didn't seen any birds working anywhere and the water was stirred up from the wind.
