Exclamation Shell is hiring 100+

For anyone looking for offshore work, had an email today that Shell will be hiring over 100 operators and technicians

http://www.shell.us/aboutshell/caree...chnicians.html

And military has a program now across the gulf that all who served in our armed forces can get a job with almost any oil company right now

Go to that link and scroll down. Several of the job titles mention military. I assume those are part of the program.

They get tax breaks for hiring ex military within a certain time after they leave.
If you are gone from the military too long, they don't get the breaks.

You already falling behind, the way some of these company's work you could apply today and not get a call for months. Sometimes you get hired but don't start the job for a few months. I know a lot of guys had jobs lined up before they even graduated when I went to school.

Yes the chem side is looking at a big expansion project for Norco and company I work for we were awarded a nice size project for later in the year for the chem plant in geismar.

In the past, Shell / Motiva has been putting all their $ into the port arthur plant.

The sasol plant is big on multiple fronts, but 96,000 bb/d sounds pretty weak - I must be missing something.

What's that number refer to?

What does this do for the marine side of things as far as transporting in and out?
