Headknocker Pearl river landing closed!

I was going to fish a club tournament Saturday at Pearl River but one guy went today and said the Louisiana National Guard has shut down the launch and said it won't be open for anyone other than the national guard. I guess they don't want anyone making there way into the gulf from the pearl!

yeah I'm going to Lake Verret instead. I need to get better at fishing there anyway there is more tournaments held there and it can be a challenge. That is where Cliff Crochet is from, he fished the Bassmasters Classic this year.

yeah, the ribbon tail displaces water and has an action to it. I'll work it up and down and movie it around in an area I usually pick up a good size bass, I fish beaver bugs and rodents i'll flip and pitch them in the grass.

2-3.5lds at least on a good day I fish for 5-8 bites on a tournament day. I fish with a spinnerbait and a red eye shad even crankbaits but I usually don't get anything bigger than 1-2 lds, I like fishing with crankbaits and rattletraps in the evening,

I think its one of the easiest baits to fish with and probably one of the most common in Louisiana.

So when you hook the laminate senko, you hook it to where the red settles on the bottom???
