I have, never had any problem. Just have to make sure you buy from higher rated Sellers and pay with PayPal. If item is not as described or broken you can make dispute with PayPal and they will make it good. GL

I'm curious about this also. The lowrance s HDS 12 touch gen 2 is everywhere on eBay for 2100 but 2600 at basspro. I bought my touch screen navigation refurbished off eBay and saved myself $600 and its worked flawlessly for 2 years.

Im going to wait a few more months and those that have the gen 2 touch will be selling them for the gen 3 touch.

It's not the same thing. I order from Amazon all the time. The hds 12 is 600 more on Amazon than eBay. I love a amazon, but I could save myself 600 if I buy from eBay.

I buy my marine eelectronics on ebay all the time. As long as the items is unopened and unregistered the manufacturers will honor the warranty. I had a Talon anchor go bad on me and Minn Kota replaced it since I was the first owner and it was registered to me. Save money anyway I can!!!

Are you sure that you're looking at the same model numbers on ebay/amazon? I thought it was confusing when I bought my Lowrance HDS Touch. Some models have the 83/200 transducer and some don't. The models with an "M" at the end don't even have sonar at all. (HDS-9M) West Marine has a sale right now on an HDS-9M regular $2100 on sale for $999.

I have plenty of stuff off of ebay and wouldn't hesitate to buy marine electronics as long as it was a reputable seller. Most of the sellers on ebay now are merchants. I just would make sure that they have a positive rating and the item is new. Most warranties are supported by the manufacturer directly anyhow.

I have purchased marine electronics off ebay in the past and have had no issues. I also don't think there is any concern in regards to warranty as long as you purchase new, unregistered, from a seller with good reviews.

This weekend I opened up a deer feeder which I ordered from Woodbury Outfitters and it did not work. When I called them to report the issue they asked if I purchased it from one of their retail stores, website, or ebay. I guess the point I'm trying to make is there are plenty of legit businesses using ebay to sell there merchandise.
