Wow, I've never seen people gripe and complain about something so much. Just take the test and be done with it, it's not like it's something that you gotta do every time you take the boat out, do it one time and you're finished with it. My brother and I both took ours in under an hour online.

just finished and printed mine

took mine at boatus...and it says 3 hours..but finished in less than 1....when you pull up a section, just click to before the quiz, or something like that..that skips the whole section and you quiz and test and have to pass with 80 or better on all 7 sections...good luck

After you get your card, make a copy of it and send it to your insurance agent, should save you some money on your boat insurance premium.

90% of this you'll never see or come across, I'm 42 years old & have never seen or heard of 1/2 of this! Most boils down to common courtesey or common sense

many of this you will again come upon later in life, like types of extinguishers, type of pfd's, and certain procedures do come up if you plan on working offshore. Although i do admit, most is common sense(i finished all in less than an hour)i believe the program in general should be mandatory(many boats are bigger/have more power than people's car's...at least make it for those under 18...not 26......some of the navigational stuff like buoys and markings are imperative also.

take this oppurtunity now that it's free and do it. me and atleast one other member here has already completed.

another member noted that the fine for getting caught by LDWF is 400...the course is free..if you got bank like that send me your info and 400 and you got a printed copy in the mail.j/kholla
