Default Ice Maker

What size Ice Maker would be recommended for my house? I would use it for filling up Ice chest for hunting and fishing and also for party use etc..

Any recommended companies?

Just dont want to go over size but sure don't want to go under.

I bought mine out of www.everythingskitchen.com I bought a 100lbs
ice-o-matic. think i paid $1700 for at the time 2 years ago with no taxes and no shipping. Just a hint if you are going to leave it outside buy a water cooled machine instead of an air cooled. Love my ice machine when it is full i can get around 5 5 gallon buckets of ice out it. It is two years old and have already paid for itself.

Ice machines are handy, but you can buy ice for the amount your electric bill will increase.

I been having mine for almost 2 years know and in the summer months you may only see a 5-10 dollar increase. Know i'm not saying that for a 400-500 lbs or bigger machine, but for my 100lbs machine it is well worth the money. My water bill is the only thing that makes the biggest increase in the summer which is usually around 10-15 dollars a month higher. But that is only for about 4 months then it drops back down to normal usage.

100ld ice machine is plenty, we have 600ld at work between two hunters we never got to the halfway mark all fall and winter, that was a 80 and (2) 120quart ice chest.

For filling ice chests, no smaller than 100 lbs.
I had a 45 lb. machine, I only took it cause it was free.
It's just enough for drinks and small ice chests.
If you fish a lot, you can store it in plastic bags in the freezer.
But 45 lb. machine just wasn't big enough for fishing day to day.
