Default Henderson # 2

Saw Country Boy post on a Friday afternoon trip and here is what we did the same day. 79 total, same pattern as CB. We did run into 24 Chinquapin and they were huge. Caught 5 sacs that are not in the picture. I confiscated them from Rockfish before he left with the ice chest so they did not get photogenic. They did get fried tonight and are history if you know what I mean! I lost a big sac at the boat that bout messed me up. Try to lift him with the string cause the jig was down her throat and she comes of, hits the gunale, I pinch her down but she slides back in the water and disappears from my life forever. What is it about sac a lait that breaks your heart when you lose one? Been along time since I caught that many in an afternoon trip. Thank you Jesus! EC

I use to fish the Henderson Swamp a couple times a week when the fishing was good and several times a month most of the year.

The boat traffic was stupid. I caught only 6 sacalait on Saturday morning. There were 456678886544 boats.

Nice chiqs. Like montuk said, glad they are makin a comeback. We caught an abnormal amount this weekend too. The sacs were tough with all of the boat traffic. Limited out twice during the week and the bite was nearly nonexistent this weekend. But, that's weekend Fishin for ya

We put in at noon and people were leaving in bunches. Did not get a bite for an hour and a half. Then BAB ! Three hours of jerking their faces off ! Perch,Brim,Goggle eye and chinkapin. Used red and chartreuse tube jig tipped with night crawler.

I have never heard of that combination Sounds like a winner

Just started fishing the basin, and it is now one of my favorite places to fish

The fish have been all up and down the banks in Pelba. If you launch at the I10 launch just go north or south of the interstate at the first opening and pick a bank and start fishing. Bring crickets and shiners and you are bound to catch something. Good luck
