Default Dove Hunt/Bass Fish Combo Trip??

Looking for a lodge to shoot some doves, catch some bass, and drink some Cervezas. I have never been hunting or fishing in Mexico, so I dont really know where to start. Any of yall ever did a trip like this?

I went to this place last year and it was awsome.. Averaged about 60 birds a hunt. We even got on a few pigeon hunts. Every hunt you get 2 bird boys and an ice chest full of beer- first class!!. No bass fishing but plenty of cervezas and doves. Check out the link..

Thanks man, looks like a nice place.

I found a lodge that might have what I'm looking for, but the fishing is on Lake Guerrero. I have heard some bad things about Guerrero being overfished.

B Stealth, remember the story I told you Friday at lunch about Guerro?
I would not venture across the border at this time due to the drug problems but, you might find something around Falcon lake with dove hunting. Follow this link; http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/fishboat.../inscent.phtml

A friend in Lafayette has the hunting camp across the border that was robbed last year, he is not worried about the crime but I am.

Yes I do Raymond, and your not the only one I have heard that story from. I want to do my research so I dont go with a bootleg outfit. I'm not sure the Cast/Blast is a good option for a trip down there. I gotta a lotta research to do before we book this trip. I have beed burned with a bootleg guide service and it sucks. I might have to do a Texas trip but I like the liberal limits in Mexico for the Doves.

We went there and rented a houseboat a few years ago. Dropped the anchor in a cove, fished and drank beer for 5 days, then came back to the dock. Don't remember catching many fish, just enought to eat for breakfast, lunch and supper.
I do remember it was a HOT mutha in the summer.

My father and I made a trip to Lago Vista Lodge a few years ago. We fished lake Guerrero and dove hunted. Top hunt was 136 birds for one person, which was high man on the field. The bass fishing wasn't good. Biggest fish was about 2 lbs and we averaged about 10 fish per person per outing.

The lodge owner was a real ***** and we will never go back to his lodge.

Went dove hunting and bass fishing on Lake Guerrero. It was with Arnoldo Rodriguez Co. I can get his number in the morning. They had got a bunch of rain when I went doves were spread out but still shot a good bit. Weather was bad but also caught a few bass. Lake Guerrero is beautiful. They have caught some huge bass out there.

my dad just got back from duck hunting on Laguna Madre last week in Mexico with same outfit. Arnoldo Rodriguez at El Moquitito. I went snowboarding so had to miss out this year but went last 2 years. They supply everything: guns, ammo, etc. And they pick u up in Texas and take u through border crossing. Never had a prob.
