Default Pontoon bridge before Hebert's?

It seems that everytime I head down to Herbert's on Hwy 384, I catch the barges heading through the intercoastal canal. I've gotten caught going there and back on a few ocassions. How about you'll?

Same here.....majority of the time I catch it either coming or going. Not many times have it missed it completely.

I have been lucky......I have only been stopped about 1/3 of the time I have gone that way in the last 6 months.

If you are there at 6 AM shift change......you might get to see the Chick that works up there in the booth......not bad.

I was warned by my boat-shed landlady on the westside about that bridge. She must be right...I've never been stopped at the Ellender Bridge.

It could be worse. The barge hits the bridge and knocks it out of commission!
