Bounce Lacassine Pool 04/03/2011

Made my first trip of the year to the pool on Sunday. Man was it windy! Fishing was really tough with the wind blowing the boat all over the place. They were biting though as I had one heck of a day. Caught these two pigs about an hour apart. We had no scale so I don't have an exact weight but I'm guessing in the 8 + or - range. One was short and fat and the other long and lean. Both were spawned out females and are still swimmin in the pool. Got a video of me putting back the bigger one that is really cool. We only caught 6 fish all afternoon but they were all really nice fish. Caught them in clear water. Had no luck in the stained/muddy stuff.

It is sad that it is so low. That iso one of Louisiana's premeir fishing spots and it is again in danger of going dry.

Canals. It was way too windy for the flats.

Right now everything is low. You have to be careful in some areas. You aren't going to get stuck in the canals but some of them you will suck up alot of mud in an outboard. If you have a Surface Drive or someting like that its all good. Wish I had one.
