Default Snook in La?

Got curious and started looking for a reason for them not to be in Louisiana. Turns out its a temperature range thing. From a few old forum reports only a few have been caught in Venice, but i'm wondering. Has anyone ever caught or seen any snook in Louisiana?

On my bucket list . . . Trip to Indian River Lagoon in Florida for one of those trophy Snooks, although wish we had them here too.

In season in Florida you can keep 1 snook between 32-36" I think is the regulation
