not that great. we took our little river skiff, but the water was too high and all in the trees, i had one good shot on a wood duck and flat out missed, took two other shots on a woodduck and a huge monster of a greehead, but both were well out of range.

if the water comes down about a foot, it will be on

Yesterday as I crossed the Hwy 171 bridge, for the first time in a month I could see some mud around the trees. The north wind had blown some of the water out to create a low tide.

If the water is still high in Kinder, it ain't good for Big Lake.
The water in Contraband Bayou has been low for a week,
but still fresh.

Salinity in Lake Charles is still below 1 ppt.
Hackberry has been steady ~2 ppt, but finally moving up to 6 or 7 ppt.
Cameron is running between 5 and 20 ppt, depending on the tides.

Maybe in a week or 2.....with not much rain.....it will start to get some salt in the water.

Ray.....I passed by the new boat dock over at the CC, and I don't see where it looks like there will be any lights out on the water. Maybe there will be some along the bank????
