Default Fishing Tips for Memorial Day Weekend

My son and I are driving from Texas this weekend to fish at Big Lake. The forecast for winds is anywhere from 8 - 15 mph. We would like to catch some trout, but realize the winds will play a role in our success. I am pretty familiar with Big Lake and the various points and reefs, but I only get to fish there 4 or 5 times per year. Any tips on when and where to fish this time of the year with these forecasted conditions? If the wind is blowing, should we go to the gulf and fish the levees/barriers off Holly Beach? Should we fish the south end of the lake? What will the water color look like with the winds from the last 2 days? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'll even post pictures and give you credit if we are successful. Thanks for your help.
