I went Saturday. Water was dirty everywhere I went. I'm giving up on that place. Gonna suck it up and do the 2 hour drive to the Houma area.

I went Saturday too. Dirty and still fresh. It really is too early to be bothering with the bay right now. We need the clean salty water to push in and that doesnt usually happen till August. Might be earlier this year though. Fishing is good on the reefs in the gulf when conditions are right but it's still hit or miss right now.

Keep checking the Cypremort Point USGS buoy for salinity levels. When it hits 6-7ppt then its time to start poking around out there. Right now its at 2ppt.

Went last Wednesday and caught our 10 reds, kinda had to work for them! Then went crabbing Friday, and the water was total different, muddy and rough!
