I'm curious, was your dad buying them in that price range on a military base in Germany?

Having a good Doppelbock right now. My third one actually. Believe me, a doppelbock isn't a normal beer. It kinda "sneaks up" on you. Bock means goat in German, and doppel means double, so this has a little extra "oomph". Budweiser is about 5.9%, and Spaten Optimator Doppelbock, from Munich, Bavaria, Germany is 7.6%. Paulaner Salvator Double Bock, also from Munich, is 7.9%. So you get the idea. It may not sound like much of a difference from Bud or Coors, but it IS. Right now, I really don't care about the beer stein. But I'm REALLY enjoying what it's made to hold! Y'all chime in if you're familiar with these awesome brews, or just let me know what you like. To quote Alan Jackson, I may just "pop-a-top, again". What the hell, I ain't driving tonight. Ai-EEE!! Cheers!!
