Default Houston River 8/7/16

Had 2 hours to fish yesterday afternoon. Launched at Anthony Ferry and just missed a little pop up t-storm. Found lots of goggle-eye and a Gou but not bass. I'm pretty sure they were turning on just had to leave them biting.

I took some video while I was out there. I'm still figuring out the camera, angles, and software but I think I'll start videoing my trips now.

A state record....[or maybe it was very close to a record] ... came from there about 25+ years ago. It was caught on a pink/white tube jig.

This was before hurricane Andrew, which really changed the fishing in the Henderson for many many years.

Houston River holds the biggest Goggleye for rivers around here in my experience. I've been using a vibra grub lately in white and they absolutely love it !
