Default Planning a trip

me and a few of my friends are in the early stages of planning our mardi gras break

Florida Keys Kayak fishing.

Leave Thursday afternoon with 4 yaks and 4 people.
Arive in the Miami area around 10 the next morning.
Sight-See drive down to the keys

arrive at state park and pitch tents

40 dollars a night with a hot shower facility on the keys

this area is on the ocean side and claims to have snook, permit, and bonefish in the flats, reds, specks, tarpon, sharks, and snapper in the channels

anyone ever fished down here?

we went 2 years ago and chartered a snapper trip but thats it. getting pumped and its a long way away

non resident yearly saltwater license is only 47 dollars and we are planning a few king fishing kayak trips soon.

any ideas and or tips?

Never fished there before, but it sounds like a blast. I bought a kayak a few weeks ago,but i had trouble with it leaking in the well and returned it. Might get a hobie one day....

Sure thing man,my main boat is almost done,so the kayak might have to wait for a little while. Im going to use my power boat while the gas is still low, that might change soon though.
