I think it is slow, going to look into props perhaps. It's a H20CC. I don't mind going 38, just wish I didn't have to go WOT all of the time.

that and prop would probly help but it seems like a 115hp is pretty small for that boat, my X19 Xpress which is a bass boat has a 200hp on a 10" jackplate

35-36 (bumps 37 every now and then) on an old 16x50 flat bottom G3 with an '07 tohatsu 40 (tiller handle with trim). The restrictor plate has been taken out of the intake which got me another 2-3 mph. I have a 5.5" jack plate, trim tabs, and I believe it's a 13" pitch powertech that I'm running. I had quite a bit of cup added to the prop. Grips a lot better and didn't slow me down any. It's a heavy boat to begin with plus 24 volt t.m. and 3 batts. Can't say enough about those motors. They are fine machines. Now everyone who owns a Merc 40 can fire away.

My top speed is 50 mph @ 6K rpms. 19 ft. Cobia w/150 Yamaha.
I just did my annual check up on her. Print out showed 1/3 of my hours are < 1000 rpm. 1/3 of the hours are between 3K and 4k rpm. 1/3 of the hours are between 4K and 5K rpm. She never ran hot, always had good oil pressure, good engine temp, good water pressure. I like the new engines that can show how she was ran. |

57 in a 22 pathfinder with a 200hpdi yammy, usually run 35-37 at 3500-3700rpm. can't remember the size and pitch, would have to look. had my 4 blade on and was happy, but had the 3 blade tricked at bauman's in houston and i like it better, although it looks kinda fragile.

My whaler tops at 55mph with a light load with a 88 v4 omc with a port and polished block, carbon fiber reeds, and shaved heads. Also have a 15 foot duracraft with a 60 omc with port and polished block,70 carbs ,and carbon fiber reeds. Tops out at 45mph no matter what kind of load. It has one hell of a holeshot too, perfect for fishing the basin. Both of them drink alot of 93 octane gas.
