Default VB Area Saturday

Well head out of the Point bright and early on Saturday morning, went to the Island caught some bait and then headed out of Oyster Bayou to the Gulf in search of Green Water. Tried the Keys water was OK, mangaged three reds that got to the boat and had a couple break off. After much discussion with my brother we decided to try The Nickel. Water was trout green, but somebody forgot to tell the trout, only managed 5 that hit the box and had a couple that came off at the boat, also managed a couple of bull reds. BTW I have never caught some many HARDHEADS on plastic in my life!!!!! Arrrggggg..... The Gafftops were out of control, from reading some of the other reports, there should have been a gafftop tournament this past weekend...LOL. Water in the bay is chocolate milk sure hope it clears up soon.

We caught a few reds off the pier Sat & Sun and had a big one break my nephew's line, but I think I saw a little bit of foam in the wake while pulling the kids on a hydroslide in the bay

I went out of the Boston canal Sunday afternoon and before i got 2 miles out in the bay the water was nice. Wanted to go further towards the pass but didnt bring enough cold ones. I know someone who caught some trout in the little bay yesterday. Things should start looking up real soon.

Better than nothing.....Xpress,nice to hear trout in little bay. Gotta be careful in there plenty of super shallow mud flats. Been several years since I fished that area, were they fishing by the platforms in the deeper water?

What's "Little Bay"? Is that the bay on the west side of the pass with all the oysters in it?

Launch in intracoastal city head west from the launch. Take the first bayou to the left heading south. Stay in the canal till you get to a y,stay right and go into little bay. DO NOT go straight at the y unless you have a light tunnel hull, very shallow. The bay itself is shallow too gotta know where to run, stay away on low tide. Ran trotlines for catfish in there years ago with my grandpaw,in the winter we would literally fill the bottom of a 16 foot flat with big cats.
