Default Deer of a lifetime

A buddy of mine got a call from a ranch he hunts in Texas saying they spotted a deer of a lifetime on a trail cam . He packed his bags and headed west. After hunting for 4 -5 w/o seeing the deer he returned to Louisiana empty handed. Friday the ranch owner emailed him a picture titled "your deers head" . Apparently one of the ranch hands founds the deer of a lifetime dead, it appears that another deer killed this one. Anyhow here is a picture of its head

To me anyone who would pay 15000 dollars to kill a buck needs their head examined.

He said everywhere else this deer (250") would be 20k+ but he has hunted with them a bunch so they offered it to him cheaper

I agree 100% If I was a millionaire I would much rather own my own land and manage my herd and grow big bucks. But hey, to each his own. That man can spend his money however he wants, that's his business.

They are not uncommon in Texas. I would bet with large headgear hindering you its hard to outrun a mtn lion, especially after the rigors of rutting

Looks to me like a deer that should have been culled 3 yrs ago, unless a recent injury acurred before this season!

No self respecting deer hunter would call that a dream deer.... Or pay 15k to shoot it!
That deer needed to b shot a few years ago....

Someone is blowin smoke up ur skirt pox.....

It's a Kool lookin rack no doubt; and would look great on a mount.... But it ain't no dream deer and not a 15k tag.

And what makes you qualified to say a 250" buck is not a deer of a lifetime??

It's a non typical deer.... Most ranches or clubs will kill those on site...
My Family in mississippi has land that they manage for trophy hunts... so i have A background in what makes a deer a "trophy" or "deer of a lifetime"
And I stayed at a holiday in express last nite.... Soooooo

What qualifies you??
