Nope, it has the slightly better TorqShift, with better tow gearing (the reason the Ford tows significantly more than the Chebby). Other than that, it's equivalent to the Allison. I call the Allison the TorqShift Jr.

That's what happens when you don't put any fuel in it.

I've been reading some posts from people who have driven both the new Chevy and the new Ford, and it sounds like there are two awesome trucks on the market right now. Dodge is behind the 8-ball, as usual.

HAHAHA

i tell u what i have always hated the Dodges. but the new models are pretty sweet. my buddy has one with some 20" factory rims, and mickey thompson's, navigation, and bluetooth, the works. The reason I hated the Dodges so much was the interior looked cheap and they rode like crap. but the new ones ride alot smoother and have a sweet interior!

I looked at the new 2011 Ford Diesels today at the cajundome car show.
I'm a Chevy D-Max fan but the look and style of the new Ford is awesome. They were on sale for only alittle over $59,000.
The new D-Max will hit the lots in about two months.

Another year in the heavy duty truck manufacturing race. Which manufacturer has the most and best this year, wait another year or two it will change. It is your money, your decision, drive which brand you choose. Keep stirring the 'which brand truck is the best' pot.

At the end of 2008 was the best time to buy a 3/4 or 1 ton truck. I sold many that listed for around $53k for $38-$39k. I also sold several F150 reg cab v6 auto and a/c work trucks for about $14k. Supercab work trucks for around $17k. Doubt we'll ever see prices like that again.
