Yep , get closed cell under the camp it's nit cheap but the closed cell dries rock hard n will not absorb moisture like open cell. Closed cell is what they put on those insulates boxes on shrimp boats . Plus it adds tons of strength to the structure . What kind of floors are inside the camp??

my next home will be buried half way and the rest will be covered in earth. no better insulation than dirt.

I moved into my house last year labor day weekend.
3200s/f two story house 10 foot celings except in the living room is 22 feet Did the foam insulation thing with goodman 16 seer 5 ton down stairs and 4 ton up stairs. my bill runs right around 200 a month I dont think that is bad at all |

Brick is a very poor insulator, yes rolled insulation is still standard but what was the R value they used?

Casey surely your contractor who was mine put batt insulation underneath your lake house did it on mine, however I did put a 16 seer unit in mine. What are you turning your thermastat up to when you leave?

The houses I build I only use roll/ batts for sound proof on interior walls , only tract home builders in my area use batts for insulation

That's good quality stuff, but this is a camp house/ weekends only. Every other one if that. Had to cut corners somewhere to come in on budget, after ther wife puts her touches on it.

Hopefully! Lol u never know these days!! They have some crooked / 1/2 arse contractors around baton rouge I assume it's like that everywhere
