With Citgo adding it to theirs and most of the dealers buying from them, it will be hard to find it. Don't know if Conoco has it in thier blends yet.

My wife told me that the Walmart on Hwy 171 now has a sign there that says that the gasoline has 10 % ethanol.
I don't know of any that are ethanol free. |

If it is E-10, they are required to put it on the pumps.
Not all has ethanol in it, it depends on the distributer. Gas is refined from one of 3 refineries in Lake Charles, but the seller(Shell, BP, Exxon...ect) adds their own additives(V-power, Techron... ect). I am not sure if the refinery adds MTBE or Ethanol to everything, hopefully it depends on the service station/distributer, but they have to have one or the other to burn cleaner. I saw in the news that Citgo is adding E-10 to all gas they are selling. http://www.fuel-testers.com/ethanol_...boat_fuel.html |

Thanks Hackberry Hustler, I use Stay-bil, guess I use Startron too.
The Shell on McNeese and Common doesn't have the 10% sign on their pumps yet. |

Don't buy Citgo...unless you support Venezuela's government and its dictator.

And this will do nothing but help put a few thousand people out of work in the Lake Charles area....

Citgo prolly refines 75% of the gas in Lake Charles area.
You will have to not buy from many other branded stations to not support them. You never know where a station gets it gas from. There is only Citgo, Conoco and the small Lake Charles Refining that produces gas around here. |

Conoco is only refinery besides Placid in Port Allen that still has conventional gas. Just b/c the pump doesn't have a sign on it, they still might be selling ethanol blended.

Exactly! Majority of your branded stations will be ethanol blended. It's the unbranded fuel that isn't ethanol blended.

OK so if I just put the stabil marine formula in my tank, should I run that tank out before adding startron or can I add it now?

I would be careful of Startron. Just my opinion. If you read their literature, they look like snake oil salesmen to me. They claim 15% better fuel economy. They also claimed that their product can blend the ethanol back into the gas after phase separation takes place. Impossible. They had a lot of unbelievable stuff on their website and bottle. |

Stick with the Stabil and you will be ok.

Racetrack stations, if they are around, sell Marathon fuel. At last check, Marathon doesn't blend ethanol. Hope this helps.
