I was out there on the same cold morning. The first redfish I caught came up to the surface without a fight. It looked like it was frozen. It came alive once it hit the ice chest though. We only caught 5 reds. It was so cold that morning... that the humidity in the air caused the inside of the boat to ice over. This is the first time I encountered that! The water temperature was 40 degrees... the warmest I found was 41 degrees. We left by 11:00 a.m.
