just stay in the middle, and look out, because it zig zags through the pass, when you get out, it goes a little to the right, or west, then goes south again. be careful, on some of the channel markers it's very shallow right on the other side of them. Don't know about the tiger shoals area though.

Once you get out of the pass it is clear all the way to Tiger Shoals. Just keep an eye on the wind and seas as it can be a dangerous run back if it picks up.
Follow the other posters instructions about staying in the middle of the channel. The channel is very deep but the reef comes right up to some of the channel markers. Its not a bad run but you should respect the water and know you and your boats limitations. Last edited by Crawl79; 05-23-2012 at 03:54 PM. Reason: spelling |

Just remember red right return. Going out red or triangle will be on your left. If you have a gps I suggest you mark a trail in the daylight hours in case you ever have to navigate at night or poor weather conditions through the pass. Also when you make the last left there is no red marker just make sure you go pass the green before you go east or west till you learn the lay of the reefs. You might look at google earth historical images and you can really see the reefs in the pass as a visual of low tide. One more option is to follow someone who is familiar. Work boats are always good bet because they draw lots more water. Hope this helps and good luck.
