Default Houston River 7/22

Water was still and still pretty murky. Found some clean water and caught pretty good. Buddy from work did most of the catching. Warmed up fast and the bite shut down. 87-89deg , hardly any wind, slow falling tide.

Nice trip. I almost went this morning. Earlier in the week I went and caught a few sacs and a million goggle eyes up there. They were mostly small and tossed back to grow for next year.

There was a guy out there with a flood light early around tree tops. Figured he was searching for sacs

Those are bigger goggle eyes like I used to catch years ago in the Mermetau.

Have you had a chance to get out to the burns yet? I know you were fixing up the boat to go.

My son is mounting the trolling motor tonight and will go this weekend. Once he goes I will borrow the boat.
