Default Toledo Bend 18-20

Headed to toledo to do a little fishing... was greeted friday afternoon with stiff winds and TONS of boats fishing the McDonalds tourney. Right out the gate we picked up 4 largemouth on crank baits weighing over 2lbs (First pic). Bite slowed on the largemouth and soon we switched to deeper water to try for some spotted bass. It payed off. Ended Fri with around 9 keepers total and a few throwbacks. Near Cypress Bend.

Sat we were met with heavy boat traffic in each cove so we moved out to 10-15 ft humps. Were greeted with several decent sized spotted bass and a couple of largemouth. All around Arnolds. Crankbaits and C rigs did the damage.

Sat afternoon we made a move to pirates and worked a point... at one point I had 5 cast with 5 hookups on crankbaits. All fish were spotted bass and we kept our limit. I lost track at 28 (my share) fish on the afternoon. No pics. No size but it was fun.

Sunday morning... was greeted with 25-30mph winds w/ 2ft rollers. needless to say we didnt go far. Still managed a limit of spotty bass around millers beating the banks.

heck no... one of the guys we talked to came in 3rd for the hour he weighed in and his fish was 6.16 lbs. I dont think it was 5 fish stringer type tourney. I think it was big bass per hr. Our biggest went 3.2 lbs.

My camp in Arnolds Bay, son-n-law & his brother-n-law fished the tourney, caught all their bass in bay, had a couple they weighed and won some money.
