Default TLDI?

I know a few of ya'll have been running them awhile now so how pleased are ya'll? I just bought a Nissan 40hp on a tunnel used., anything to watch for with motor and how are they on gas.

Love mine. Runs great and doesn't burn near the fuel my merc 40 did. Yesterday I ran from joes cove to the south end of west cove. Ran around to different reefs and back on about 3-4 gallons.

You couldnt have a better motor. They crank everytime no matter below freezing or 110. I like the variable idle alot. Good feature. Lots if power and great reliability. Good purchase for sure

And it sips fuel...... went 70 miles with 3 people, loaded down, didnt burn 5 gallons

Nissan got popular in the late 80's and 90's, then faded out.
Don't see many anymore.

Nissan and Tohatsu are exactly the same besides stickers. They charge 300 more for the Nissan brand.

I'm not too sure. I been having the boat since '04. The motor was around $5200 after everything was all said and done.

Nissan 40 remote was 4200......remove the restrictor plate to make it a 50!!
