Default 4/8 Houston River

Went out for a few hours. Water is still very muddy. Found 3 small bass and a whole bunch of goggle eyes ! Water was 68 deg. Ready for it to clear up. I haven't been able to fill the box since the winter!

Looks like fun. I think those goggle eyes must have a complex because they will take on any bait, any size. That one is barely bigger than the brush hog.

Man! Nothing wrong with a mess of goggle-eyes. Last time I went out there I couldn't get bit.
Had a snake swim right up to my boat. For what that's worth.

Love goggle eyes. Good job. Can't wait until it clears as well. Chocolate milk to the north...

water north of bayou serpent is getting better. It is way better than south. The farmers are still letting water out of the fields and it is coming from serpent. I did good Sunday. Caught on a pumpkin/blue filppin jig with a watermelon red gold speedcraw trailer and a blue back chartreuse colored squarebill crankbait. Had to make it dig in the bottom and pause to get bit.
