Default 5/7 Houston River - West Fork

Brought father in law today. Launched at Sam Houston ( among the craziness !! Game warden had 3 boats lined up writing tickets) fished from 4 till 7 and we didn't get a bite ! A guy in Houston River showed us a friggin 5 lber he had in his ice chest !!

I had all 10 rods on the deck and they didn't want anything I had ! I can't get them figured out.

Thanks for the report! Water was still high at Anthony ferry today. Managed to launch the boat but couldn't stay long. Bite was non existent! Wanted to try north of white oak tom but don't want to make the drive not knowing what the water level looks like. Weather has been perfect for fishin that's for sure!

Every time I pitch a lure into the Houston River, the bite is non-existent...

During the winter I had them figured out. Still haven't done well since the rains. Maybe I'll try again Sunday or try White Oak for a change of scenery. I've never done well there.

And there's an app for the I-phone called Rivercast. The app will allow you to mark certain levels and give them a name. Every time it floods I mark the level the river was at and know which launches will be underwater next time. With the last rise the app said Anthony ferry was flooded and it sure was when I got there.
