Default How was the duck hunting in LA this past season?

We had an extremely amazing season, for some reason when we get a hurricane the next couple seasons following are the most productive for us over in Anahuac, Texas Point, and Bessie Heights area.
I heard a interview with the Duck Commander saying theirs was very mediocre.

the places I hunted were up and down...rain and lots of water did not help either area as well...

Default Ducks

Pecan Island was pretty good. Not as good as the past few seasons, but we can't complain. Water was way to high for most of the season, when it dropped we were covered up with birds. Mostly on the south side of the highway, the ducks on our Northside spot were practically non-existent

The first split was pretty good. After the split, it was terrible.

It sucked for me, only got to go on 2 hunts and only killed 4 ducks and 3 were spoonies so yes, 75% of the birds killed were spoonies! On a side note, I was able to do A LOT of deer hunting and for that, the freezer is full and I am happy!

First split in PI we mashed them. Mostly teal. First 2 weeks or so of second split we didn't do worth a crap. Then it turned back on end of December and January. On my lease between 5 members we killed a little over 600 birds.

The guy who hunted my old blind this past year said it was one of the best in the past
10 years. The blind is on private property directly south of the Lambert Bayou Weirs.
Lots of teal, which they haven't seen in years. Plus lots of Pintail and Gray Ducks.

We mostly had Grays,Teal (G & B), Pintail. The first day we saw a group of about 7 wood ducks high flying it, weird. We usually take atleast one greenhead out in Anahuac but not this year. Now thats not the same story for Texas Point, we got some massive Im talking big Bull Greens. SHould have mounted one but dont have the money right now

we had a pretty decent year. Killing mostly Greys and Teal. Was it just me or did the blue wings stay constant all year long everywhere?
