Default Gros Tete 3/5

Made my first actual devoted rabbit hunt with dogs today in Gros Tete on my great uncle's place with my 2 great uncles and 2 of their friends. Started out around 7 in nice 40 degree weather. Dogs got on 2 right off the bat and it was on. I wound up shooting at 3 killing 2 while fighting the Browning Jams. It warmed up around 9 and the mosquitos made their Kamakazie attacks and the action slowed and the dogs started chasing "ghosts" but towards the end they picked up 2 more. Finished the day with 13 rabbits total, 5 hunters, and 4 dogs. Had a great time and cannot wait for next season. Wish I had pics but none of us have "smart"phones.

Final tally
Me: 2
Uncle Clyde: 4
Uncle Richard: 1
Mr. Bubba: 2
Mr. John: 4

Oh, Uncle Richard is 75 and Uncle Clyde is 68 and I am 20...and having trouble keeping up, they don't mess around.

It did, but i heard that it was extended either 1 or 2 weeks. I know my grandpaw and some friends went and ran dogs on our lease the other day, but didnt kill. I thought it was odd......... makes ya wonder.

You sir are correct. It was a subject we talked about all day out there. It seems that Wildlife and Fisheries extended the deer season a few days and the rabbit hunters got mad so they extended it a few days to shut them up.

Get your damn facts straight internet Game Wardens.
