Not sure how to write this much less why I'm writing this.
If you have a small business you know full well how much of a worrisome pain in the a?? it can be but every now and then it makes you smile.
Had one of old time customers come by today to have her car serviced. She used to live up here in Alexandria but now lives in Florida. She actually plans her trips back home around her car being serviced because she doesn't want anyone else to touch it but us. She had a blowout not long ago "IN FLORIDA" and she called us. We had to convince her not to have her car towed to us.
Just makes it worth the effort when you have people that really appreciate what you do.

Amen to that brother. I have clients that act like I lie, cheat and steal from them and then I have clients that actually appreciate what I provide for them. I wish they could all be the latter.

I know exactly what you mean. I have people that drive from Texas and New Orleans to buy meat from me

We've had the honor of folks bringing their wrecked vehicles from hours away to have us repair them. It really shows you that you're doing something right when that occurs!

And, yes, it does put a big ol' smile on my face to see them do so!

I'm one of those customers that will walk 2 towns over through a snow storm barefooted to get good service. It's so hard to find these days and it really is a shame.

my father and hero has been a small business man for 5 decades now..........I know in my heart the reason he does it still is because of those people that have appreciated his help.

Once we had a family stay with us for a week after an accident left their son in the hospital.

I came home and had total strangers sharing my room with me......we fed them, housed them and generally loved on them untill their son was able to go home.......

The funny thing is.......all my dad wanted was to do the right thing........

If he had all the money owed to him over the years of free tows, free parts, loaned money and many other things....he would be a VERY rich man.

Small business owners are more than the back bone of the US economy, they are the backbone of the US moral systems that are left.

I only WISHED I had the stones to be a small business owner
