Default 3 day possession limit for Port Eads

I just happened to notice this in the scroll on LAS.
Only have 2 days left to comment.
I sent an email saying no unless it is done for everyone.
We all spend $$$ to go stay somewhere and fish.
Just sounds like another perk for a select few.

They just happened to leave out part of the email address to send your opinion.
Here is the correct address. jadriance@wlf.la.gov.us

One of the requirements was that the marina be open to the public. And it is. Anyone can stay there. So I don't see a problem. Of course the rooms are expensive and only the big money's will actually take advantage of it. You have to prove that you stayed there for 3 nights.

I'm sure there are ADA standards since it is a public marina/motel. As much as any other marina. (which isn't much) But you gotta get her there by boat first. It's not land accessible.

The boat is no problem. And we don't push the issue .If we did there is no place on G.I That meets ADA standards that we know of. Butch at sand dollar may have one ground level room but not sure.

I don't see a problem with it. I may...one day go stay there one night, just for the hell of it. It would be nice to be able to come back in with 2 days limit of cleaned fish & not have to worry about cleaning that once I get home. It is expensive. $125/bed! geesh! But hey, its 20 mi away from any road & its at the Gulf. If I can't afford it...Im happy for those who can. I think...Instead of trying to bash the idea, lets go with it. It just may...down the road...open up the same sort of deal in more accessable areas.

75trout x3days= 225 trout
15 reds x 3 days= 45 reds

Be honest .... Home many of y'all thibk you can do this with no guide.

Lol

I honestly don't give a d@mn what the possession limit is. If people wanna go stay on a remote location and pay a premium for the accommodations then let em keep 3 days worth.
Unless guides are gonna b down there running people for 3 days not many people will reach their 3 day possession limit.
And if some is gonna hire a guide 3 days in a row, more power to them.

But this don't effect 95% of the anglers in LA.... So why some people are all upset I will never understand

More like 99.99% of anglers. Who cares about this. I haven't caught a full limit in years and I'm not ashamed of it. LOL

That's just for one bed. $625 per night for your own room.

I say do it everywhere or don't do it at all, if you go spend a week at grand isle then you should be able to take home a 7 day limit per person of cleaned fish as long as you can show proof of time spent there.

this should also apply to those with camps but logistics of how to go about accurately being able to show proof of time stay without recipts which wouldn't allowing cheating to occur escapes me.

questions like this also make me frustrated about those who continue to argue you cant have more then one or two days catch possession in your freezer at your house and when you bring up discussions about things like this that show whats in your freezer at home is exempt from daily limits, they ignore logic.

Bobby Lynns is not on GI, but we stay there a lot when we fish GI and trailer the boat down. It's within striking distance of GI, Fourchon, and of course all the inshore stuff.

They have the best handicapped ramp there that I have seen anywhere in the area.

some plasces do and some don't and I always wondered if the boat launch fee was included in the rental or not, I never stayed there but a few different people i know were curious about this.

I launch there often, putting the money in the box, but I never stayed there or took the time to go inside and ask.
