Default "Old School" Seafood Gumbo

Butter and Bacon Roux, Tomato Base... Shrimp, scallops and lump crab...

There may even be some rice in the bowl !!!

Some folks count the use of File' as making a gumbo. It's the old word origin thing, African or Indian.

Origianlly gumbo was nothing more than tomaotes and okra with very little meat. Gumbo is actually some african languauge word for Okra.
