Engine Part question
It ruptured last time I went to start the engine, so I need to replace it.. Haha I don't want to look to ridiculous when I go to ask the local shop to order it... Anyone know what I'm talking about? I tried googling it but all that would come up are the bulbs on the fuel line.. Thanks in advance |

It's mounted on the cowling? If so, it is in fact called a primer bulb.

Look up your motor on mercurys part website. It will give you a part description along with part number.

X2 it is the primer bulb. Get the model # off the motor and tell them you need a priming bulb.

It might be cheaper to buy it online too. Find the mercury part number and google it. You would be amazed how much you can save sometimes.

I think it would be more fun to send the wife or GF in the shop and have her ask for " that little black rubber thingie", while you watch the reaction of the employees.
