Default It's on in Grand Isle.

If you've got the time, get your *** down to GI. Caught fish on damn near every cast yesterday afternoon over an oyster reef in the bay. Nice fish in the 14-18 inch range. Live shrimp under a popping cork. Heard alot of people smoked them also and heard Elmers Island was great this morning.

You know it's on if a yahoo like me can catch a bunch of trout.

Nice, hopefully my job will offer me the opportunity soon to take some time off and get back in the water.

I was down there and everyone was catching. Key was live shrimp. I was fishing artificial and only managed 6 keepers behind the water tower

Yep. In front water tower. Water was too cold to wade behind bridge side. Had a boat pull up to the same group of rocks I was fishing and slaughters them on live shrimp. I'm talking every cast. I couldn't buy a trout, caught all mine on rootbeer sparkle beetles.

Nice, has anyone heard if they're doing good around the rocks along the front beach on the Western side?

I normally stay around Port Sulphur this time of the year as the birds are getting thick down there right now, but love fishing Grand isle and would prefer fishing there vise Port Sulphur... Mainly because the fishermen in Grand Isle are much more friendlier than those in Port Suplhur.

Live shrimp was deadly but I imagine live pogey, croakers or mullet would do well also.

That's funny W. Sunday afternoon I was talking to a friend who has a camp there and someone sent that pic of the guy with all the trout at Elmers Island to her phone. Lol
