Cry Last Day in Grand Isle...

Well my trip came to an end today... we are leaving in the morning. I was hoping to go out with another trout slam but woke up to 15mph South winds and I knew all my spots would be dirty...found some clean water but only pulled 4 or 5 keepers out of about 40 trout... wind finally died down and some clean water came back with the incoming tide....ended up with 23 this morning. This afternoon got a late start didnt get out till 530 ended with 8 trout and 1 nice 26" red (first red my sister has ever caught)...i would suggest if you have been coming to grand isle like i have my whole life get down here and support these people as long as they are open...the fishing is great right now and the island is not crowded its kinda like the old days

My brother also whacked em yesterday in Caminada. He owes me some filets.
16 trout 12-16 in., a limit of reds 17-21 in. and 4 nice flounder. Most caught on live shrimp and a couple on Gulp shrimp under a Cajun Thunder cork.

He told me he's going to keep going down there till they kick him out and he is not cancelling his reservation for his rental for next week.
