Default 5/26 v/b troutsesses

My son and I headed out of vermillion bay, looking for some trout this morning. We headed out through the pass and hit a few various platforms. We ended the day around 1 pm with 31 trout all caught on various plastics. On the way in we passed by tete bute, water wasnt all that, pass was dirty, started getting pretty again around dry reef, and the cove was really nice. Hope everyone has a great and safe weekend and gets a chance to get on some fish before everything gets shut down.

water was prettier than that at the same location last week. That east wind the past couple of days has been pushing that dirty water from calumet a little further over. Alittle further west it got really green.

I'm pissed about closing the pass again though. I was planning on fishing some outside reefs and rigs this weekend.

you should be able to go through the pass, just dont fish the off limit areas, but the rigs should be further out than that.

I just talked to a wildlife agent at work,he said they are starting to lay boom today at marsh island. I forgot to ask if they are running boom across the pass.

I cant imagine them running booms across the pass with all of the big boats that have to go through there, but maybe they will.
